fuji x100s...who's getting one?

No for me. not until my current x100 is dead. By then the 3rd or 4th Gen of the x100 will likely be out.
The current model is perfect for my use. Smallish files with high image quality.
Caveat being, I also own an xpro1 and 5Dii for higher res and print/file size.

Like Rogier, I would also go for a series of fixed lens cameras over interchangable lenses.
If for some nutbag reason Fuji ever offered the x100 in 14,23, 35, 60 I would buy all 4, sell my xpro1, and, be done with it for small digital cameras. I doubt they will ever do such.

Lol.. Pretty much my feeling as well.. But for me it would just take 14 f2.8 and 27f2 on a x100s type body :D. The high iso range is already good enough for me even on the original x100. As I said before, I used to use two bodies when I was shooting w/ CL. One w/ 40 and other w/ 21. I would have to really think seriously about keeping my xp1 setup. The leaf shutter is soooo quiet on the x100 series when u add the other factors in, man I would definitely have GAS :eek::eek:

Will be tempted but have to wait until the NEX 7N announcement. And even then, I'm supposed to be on a strict budget this year so I'm not sure a camera purchase is going to happen.
 
I'm just not sold on the X-Trans sensor yet, I think my X100 out shoots my XP1 and until I'm convinced otherwise there will be no new Fuji's in my bag. That said, I do love my XP1, I just don't think it is as good an image maker as the X100.

i think they all outshoot me...in the calm of thoughtful reason i should head out with a body and the 18/35 and not return till i'm a reasonable talent!

My sentiments exactly. Presumably the residual value of my X100 is about to take a nosedive, demand will dry up, and I'll be left having to justify the price difference vs. the incremental performance difference.

I have the idea that if Fuji supports X100 with repairs / maintenance as needed over time, it will be a "classic" with a strong following. "Collectible" ? . . . . no . . . . "Classic shooter"? . . . yeh.

I think the X100s has big shoes to fill.
 
Recently I had some time to kill in Heathrow airport and one of the duty free shops had a large number of digital cameras to play with, including the Fuji X100, Xpro1, x-e1 and a many of big DSLR's & lenses. That was the first time I'd seen most. After handling them for a while I can see why the X100 is so popular; it would be my pick of the bunch. Wow, are those DSLR body/lens combo's heavy.

I've spent much time in that duty free shop (Dixon's?).:D It was there I first fondled the X100 as well. Looking forward to seeing the new crop of cameras in April!
 
I'll be getting one the first day they have the black body.

I am in love with the fuji line. Bot an x100 first day, then sold it on ebay to buy the black body...not doing that again, but the ONLY flaw in the x100 is the relatively slow focus - and that's no really so much it has to be replaced today...all depends on what kind of photos you use it for. It's - bar none - the best pocket sized "walkaround" camera I've ever owned (at least in my opinion). (The Xe-1 may equal it when they release the pancake lens since it will likely fit easily in a jacket pocket then).

Can't wait to hear how you like it, Joe... I think Fuji really has hit a part of the market that was woefully underserved and they are doing a good job of after sales support with firmware upgrades etc. I like this company.

I had a play with one of these last night. The split rangefinder focusing is quite impressive and in the few test shots I took was dead accurate. I just might get one in six to twelve months on the used market.

As I think about it, I would be ok w/ 14f4 if they could shrink the lens length down..
