Got some camera and lens repair tools for xmas.Had two Fujica V2's one working one not but the working one had some cosmetic issues. I diasaaembled a little and cleaned up a up a bit including the lens elements, swapped the bent filter ring and it looks pretty good now. There's one more trim piece I'd like to get off the non functional one but can't figure out how together it off. See the circled film speed selector circled in red on the camera in back? There's a silver cover that I assume is glued on because you can see the remains of some adhesive on the camera in front. Any idea how I can disolve the adhesive and get it off without mangling the part?

It must depend what it's stuck on with, but if you have remains of adhesive where the missing one was you can experiment on that. Alcohol will dissolve shellac, and is gentle on most plastics so I'd try a little of that first. If it works, you can work it into the edge of the cover to try to soften underneath.

Be very wary of trying acetone/nail varnish remover as it will do evil things to many plastics.

Beyond that, I can't help.
