I didn't do anything, that's on the film! It does look pretty though. (I wonder what it's for?)

Thanks Huss. Maybe some form of optical guide for machine printing...? Whatever, I do agree it looks pretty.
Need to order a pack of C200 and acquire the necessary inversion software to reveal the sprockets, after camera scanning (the Plustek I have doesn't 'see' the sprockets).

Huss, Dourbalistar et al on RFF, thanks for the inspirational images posted on this forum. I've been shooting digital for many years now but my Xpro 1 has now been sidelined whilst I explore film once again. 🙂

Huss, this frame is amazing. I've been lurking the NLP and "camera scanning" talk for long and these are absolutely amazing results.
Doesn't look like the cheapest Fujicolor. Well, of course because it was given proper treatment.
The light, contrast, subject and colors are on point. On point!

That's how color film should look. Looks a bit like Slide film (because it does not need color inversion acrobatics?) Another fellower RFFer from Greece (Mamiya 7 thread) got similar fantastic and realistic results out of color neg.

I concur. Amazing results in this thread. This particular one is helped by special lighting, large windows or other reflective surface behind the photographer?
It would be interesting to see what it would take a Photoshop wizard to get these colors from digital shots.

The little bar code at the bottom edge is a DX bar code. According to Fujifilm's Professional Film Data Guide brochure:

Edge markings are used for identifying processed film. In addition to edge markings, "DX" codes are also seen on 135-size color negatives. Code patterns are designated for each film type. The correlation between film type, edge markings, and "DX" and frame number bar codes is indicated below.​

The thing to realize is that Fuji knows what they are doing. They know how to make film. If we don't respect the emulsion and treat it like cr-p because it is a cr-ppy budget film, we will get cr-ppy results.
Process this film with the care that we would give to a roll of Portra or 400H and we will get nice results.

FYI my C200 is now about 5 years expired. But refrigerated until used.
