Came here to post this - you beat me to it. Looks like it's coming in a few months. As far as I can tell they've reformulated it slightly to account for modern raw materials and it might be even less grainy again.

I don't trust Fuji, and won't buy their films unless it's the occasional roll of color. They drop films like they drop lies in Washington.

I hope this brings the price down on remaining stock of the old Acros.
I also wish they would being back Neopan 400 and 1600

Great, great news. First ever to be back for Fuji in many years.

Whilst I probably won't be picking any up on release this is great news for Fuji's commitment to film

This is good news indeed. Fuji seems to listen to its customers - I hope sales are sufficient for them to continue making and selling it.
Interesting new book on Fuji's turnaround from the film era.
Thanks for the info about that book! Definitely a topic of interest for me.

Crickets! There’s one dude with a very 80s display picture. Seems extremely quiet at the moment

I'm stunned (in a good way for once). I'm more of a HP5+/Tri-X/P3200 guy, but I'll definitely try a roll of Acros II if it eventually comes to market.

They’ll be back. It’s just going to take them a while to come up with an imaginative and negative way to spin this. Concocting a whole different set of “insider information” takes time.
Great news. I hope this works out for Fuji, financially, because that is the only way it will end up working out for the film community.

Makes me wonder if I should sell some (or most) of mine while the price is high.

Yes indeed. Whatever will Ted Striker do now that it is obvious Fuji is still coating materials?

That's a consideration, but there is no guarantee than the new one will be better than the old one. It could be like "New Coke" for all we know at this point. I am not saying that it will be, by any means, but we just don't know.
Sometimes, when a formula is changed due to, necessary ingredients "not being available any longer", the truth isn't that they don't exist any longer, but that there have been regulations put in place which forbid their use.. More often than not the substitute ingredients used in the new formulations are less good than the outlawed ones were. Think water based paints for cars, and lead free solder for audio electronics.
I have no idea if that is the case here, and suspect that ACROS II will be a really nice film. I just personally would not be getting rid of my ACROS until we know if we like the new one better. With any luck, we will, and kudos to Fuji for doing this.
My problem is that I have so much ACROS frozen I'm not sure I will live long enough to try the new one. One of my nicer problems.
