I recently I went through all my Canon RF stuff preparing for the arrival of my Canon P camera (it's here 🙂 ! ). I was missing rear caps, front lens caps and proper shaded for some of my 10 Canon L39 lenses.
Somewhere I saw a note that the FujiFilm LHCP-27 42mm ID slip-on hood caps for the LH-XF27 hood will fit . I bought 2 used ones and I can confirm that they will serve nicely as a lens cap for your 40mm filter sized Canon lenses. I found a pair of the caps used for $16 shipped on eBay. Much better than $30+ for OEM chrome metal cap each!
