The GF670 is the Japanese version, Fuji-branded. The US version is the Voigtländer G667. Since the US version barely started shipping, it's hard to imaging used ones flooding the market, specially considering it was not an impulse purchase in the first place. I certainly love mine (bought from Dirk).
As for making more, it is supposed to be a limited edition of 5,000. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a follow-on, however.

The first copy (GF670) appeared at Yodobashi Camera in Sapporo, recently. I had a chance to handle it yesterday.

I don't think that I will buy one ... It is a nice camera but the handling isn't my cup of tea, though. 😉 Actually, I liked the Mamiya7 much better but that camera doesn't allow to change format.

Gabor, you can always crop to 6x6. mamiya 7 is an awesome camera.
Never handled the 667 though, so can't say which one is better.

I handled a demo one in Map Camera, two weeks ago in Tokyo.
I still wonder why Fuji or Voigtländer didn't consider the covering of 6x4,5 and 6x9 formats as well, in such bulky - and well constructed - body: it would be perfect!

AFAIK the production of the GF670 is a bit more limited than that of the Bessa III so I guess it's possible that some stores are now selling their last 100 which is still quite a lot. If they sell one a week it'll still last them two more years.
FWIW, I got my Bessa III last than a week ago and it's number 341. Considering they're making them in the thousands I suppose it'll be in stock for some more time.
@sniki: Adding 6x4,5 and 6x9 would've surely been quite complicated. It's not just about adding another mask but also switching frame lines and changing the film transport.

You have your numbers mixed up so your conclusions are not quite right: GF670 run is 5000, Bessa is 1000 units.

Oh, ok. I thought it was the other way around simply because the GF670 is Japan only and the Bessa is for the rest of the world (IIRC). But even better, now I have one of only a thousand 😉
As a side note, I am really having a whole lot of fun with my Bessa III the past few days (just got it on Saturday). The portability is great and unmatched by any other 6x7 camera. Probably a bit less rugged than the Mamiya 7 due to the bellows but I don't need rugged for my type of work.

Somehow I really doubt that there will be a 6x9 format version. A version with a wide lens would be much more likely.

The Japanese demonstrate their impeccable taste, as usual. It's a wonder Tokyo Camera Style hasn't featured one yet.
