I have known for quite a long time that Fujifilm has three factories worldwide for production of silver-halide RA-4 color paper: One in Japan (Tokyo), one in Europe (Netherlands) and one in the USA (South Carolina). They are global market leader in this segment, being quite ahead of Kodak Alaris and Lucky.

But, new to me, and a bit surprising:
Interestingly Fujifilm is not only making RA-4 paper, but also Fujifilm QuickSnap recyclable cameras in South Carolina for the American markets:

An american friend and photographer told me today sending the link.

Thank you very much for that surprising (at least for me) information.
I had thought that Fujifilm has concentrated their whole film production in their film factory in Tokyo.
That they are additionally producing single use cameras also in their plant in the US is a clear indication that the North American market for these cameras is quite huge. So that a second (local) production line makes economic sense.
