Fujifilm has started promoting their films in a more active way via instagram.
They are there as fujifilm_profilm
https://www.instagram.com/fujifilm_profilm/
They also have a "win free film" promotion:
"Enter our ongoing Fujifilm Friday series for a chance to win 10 rolls of Fujifilm + an #ishootfujifilm t-shirt! All you need to do to enter is keep doing what you always do: Use #ishootfujifilm and tag us when you post an image shot on Fujifilm. You’ll then be automatically entered into a randomized drawing that takes place twice a month.
Be sure to include #ishootfujifilm and @fujifilm_profilm when you post an image shot on Fujifilm to be automatically entered into the next giveaway drawing. ❤️📷🎞❤️Official rules & details here: http://bit.ly/ishootfujifilm2018 "
I guess quite a lot of rff members are also active on instagram and can post their shots on Fujifilm films there and can benefit from it.

I scrolled through a large section of their photos, not a single one I saw was black and white. There was a converted one that they had used #120mmfilm on, which was shot on 400H, but no mention of Acros.
I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory, just something I noticed.

I think they are quite at the beginning. First they have focussed on Pro 400H (almost) exclusively, and have shared lots of the work of wedding and portrait photographers. Pro 400H is very popular in this group, especially in the US.
In the meantime other films like C200, Superia, and in the last 2-3 months also Provia and Velvia have been added.
Most probably the best is
- to get in contact with Fujifilm
- tell them our wishes and needs (that is also possible there on instagram)
- encourage them to keep on and increase promoting of film use
- participate with own shots on Fujifilm films there on instagram and tag them accordingly, same on facebook.

Perhaps the only people sharing as of today are sharing their color pictures. Does not seem out of the ordinary to me personally.

Nice to hear that the world conspiracy by the photo labs and users worldwide to kill Fuji film is over.

So, you have to have their film, post on some site and tag it to run it as free commercial for them and maybe you will win something. MAYBE and how many will win...
This is not free film give-away. It is as give-away as buying lottery ticket.
Years ago I went to beer store. Big brewery working guy came by another car. He looked at me and purchased me box of their beer. It was give-away.

Giving away 10 rolls of film twice a month doesn't seem like a big push.

I don't need any FujiFilm for free. Not worth of using C-41 kit or HC-110. IMO.

There are some killer images on that feed. No-one is making anyone participate. They don't have to give away any film. But they are. Nice.

The rules are interesting. Contest entries don't have to be shot on Fuji film, although they do say that use of Fuji products is preferred. If its film - I am not even sure they can tell what is or is not.

Hm........
Not sure what to say about this at all.
Maybe Fuji is just trying to rid themselves of the last scraps of film, before they kill it off completely
Hehe sorry, could not resist I love Fuji and I shoot Acros, Neopan 400, Neopan 1600, 400H as well as 160NS and I really love them all.
- Well worth using both c-41 dev and HC110 on for sure
- For the record, Neopan400 out-resolves Tri-X and has less grain, then again this is a mute point, since Neopan 400/1600 was killed off because they didn't make enough money for Fuji I suppose.
As for color, the 160NS and 400H have slightly different color-palettes compared to Portra's completely natural rendering, why should that make the films unworthy for c-41 dev?
....some people...wow....
Anyway, the "competition" is also mute, since they do allow non-fuji stuff to be tagged, it's as useful as a badly administered Flickr-group, which would probably be a better idea for this stunt, as they at least would hit their target-groups; photographers.
...and I don't have Facebook, thus I don't have Instagram.

+1.
I think it is a step in the right direction: Stronger promotion of film use. That is necessary and good for all of us!
And as Fujifilm is opening more of their "Wonder Stores" worldwide, and some of them even offer film and processing
(have a look here: https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164080 ) it looks like Fujifilm is taking traditional film more in their focus.
We absolutely do need Fujifilm in the market:
- they offer some of the best films ever with unique characteristics, like Provia, the Velvias, Acros, Pro 400H and Superia
- in some technological fields like natural colour rendering, film converting quality and reciprocity (Schwarzschildeffekt) they set the benchmarks: no other manufacturer is able to beat them there
- we need them for competition and reasonable prices: without Fuji Kodak would have a colour film monopole: sky rocketing prices would be the consequence (just look at the current prices of Kodak CN sheet film)
- we need them for variety.
We need Fujifilm, Kodak, Ilford, Foma, Adox and Film Ferrania.
Let's support them! All of them!
Let's buy their films regularly!
We need this dedicated photo film production.

I agree with the desirability of competition but I'm not sure Fuji have been much of a brake on Kodak pricing. If anything, Fujifilm have been dragging Kodak prices up. For example, Fuji raised its prices for 400H up to about £12 per roll some time before Kodak raised its prices for Portra 400. The latter now has a similar RRP (though fortunately can still be obtained for around £8 per roll if you shop around). It will be interesting to see how Kodak price Ektachrome because E6 is of course a market where Fuji dominate and £13+ per roll is the new norm.

Instagram is worldwide. Everyone can participate there and show photos. Or look at photos.
As for the film give-away: That special promotion is run by Fujifilm North America. Therefore promotion film can only be send to US and Canada.
Makes sense for practical reasons:
Sending some promotion films around the globe is not possible for economic reasons.
Maybe Fujifilm China is making similar promotions in China. I don't know, I cannot read Chinese, and in China there is also a complete different internet eco-system with Taoboa and so on.....
Is this new Fujifilm marketing perfect?
Of course not.
Is it better than the previous situation?
Of course!
Maybe or probably it is just a first step, and more is coming in the future.
Let us encourage Fujifilm to make more! Let us support them. That will be good for the whole film eco-system.
In the past lots of photographers have criticised Fujfilm for not marketing their standard films.
Understandable?
Of course.
But now Fujifilm is starting marketing and the same people are criticising again.....
Is the Kodak marketing perfect?
Of course not.
And Foma?
They are doing no marketing at all! But none of the Fuji critics are criticising Foma.....
Using film is not a "either Kodak or Fujifilm" or "either Ilford or Kodak etc." situation.
It is a "Fujifilm and Kodak and Ilford, Adox, Foma......" situation.
I am also one of those who think we should support all of our real film manufacturers.
