Haven't been shooting much, and finally finished a test roll from this pretty unfamiliar camera. 28mm lens, VERY small, and awesome slide to turn on function such as a epic or XA. Check it out, its an awesome camera thats fast at focusing and meters well.

Now, onto the photos. Not a huge fan of 28mm so it took some adjusting, but change is different and I like adapting to something different. Especially in photography its always fun and refreshing trying something new.

Following photos were all taken in downtown Los Angeles.

I have a few self critiques and want to see if there brought up by anyone or if its just me being nitpicky.

Thanks,

Dennis

for quick shooting it's annoying when the fingers on your left hand show on the fringes of the photographs. this happened to me cause the lens is very compact to the body and holding it in that way caused my fingers to sometimes appear in the photographs.

other than that, looks like you don't have that problem with your images, 28mm is better IMO in tightly packed streets of Asian cities rather than North America.

the clam shell design is also its' achilles heel. it is held into position by plastic rails, and with use mine gave up the ghost and detached entirely from the camera body.

i ended up converting it to M-mount via Miyazaki-san.

I never shoot 2 handed with point and shoots, right handed and hold and shoot with my right hand. I understand what your saying about the sliding mechanism, It does seem like it'll give over time. I really can't complain though I only paid $30 USD for mine :D

good price!

actually if it does end up crapping out on you, it's relatively easy to super glue it back in position. pictures looking good though and that's what matters.

I have both the prime and zoom versions of this, and this thread has shamed me into realising that the lenses are fantastic, and I should be using them rather than having them sit on a shelf.

Great little cameras, I haven't had any issues with the clamshell at all, and the results are always special.
