Thanks for the link. Who knows on the legitimacy of the images / information.

Just a note, the website is actually Korean, not Japanese.

The rough translation reads as though the person found the AF at night fairly good and that it's speed is similar to the NEX and faster than the Sigma DP.

@ ISO 12800, pretty impressive:

I was also impressed with the 6400 ISO from a high vantage point looking at the street below...

THE EXIF (Left Click/Properties) shows the X100 as the camera used... I see no reason to fake it.

I wander how much Post was done... and with Fuji's software or PS or some other editing tool? Noise Reduction setting: In camera, and was a NR program also used after post?

Still impressed though...

Agree those 6400 and 12800 ISO pics looks promising - and without too much NR (as opposed to several of the norwegian pictures released "by mistake" ealier - no "plastic" here). Visible banding though on the 12800 ISO coffee pic, but my guess is there is still good room for PP.

Looks like its what Ive been looking for, so have preordered (pleaz dont wake me up..)

Kind Regards

If it is what it purports to be than I'd say that it has enough promise to warrant a $1500 (cam+acc) outlay, provided one is comfortable with just one lens...

The banding in the latte pic looks like the best I typically got after PP in LR 3 from my M8 @2500iso.

Well, a large portion of the impressiveness of those web pictures is a direct result of their being downscaled.

Downscaling averages out the noise, gaining you 1 net stop of ISO for every factor of 2-4 or so (depending on the sensor pattern), but at a heavy cost to resolution.

The one in the EXIF example has been downscaled by a factor of 20, from 12 megapixel to 0.6 megapixels.

Oh well... some people will never be satisfied...

I share your enthusiasm for the camera's potential - but the devil is in the detail. We do still need more. My guess is the results from the camera are likely to be impressive - but this doesn't constitute proof, or even partial proof. It's merely a clue.

I presume in the next fortnight we will see a rigorous test - if Fuji want this camera to conquer all, as it could do, we need some serious information on both IQ and autofocus performance .

My point is that I think people are expecting this camera to be magic and it will not be. People are complaining about ISO 12800 quality ... a bit ridiculous really. You wouldn't buy the camera because it doesn't perform well over ISO 3200? That seems silly to me. However, it is your money so who am I to diss.
