… so you've got anecdotal evidence pro and con. Personally, I'd avoid heavy weather.
By my own experience, I can attest that the X100 (original) is /not/ suited for underwater use. Surprisingly enough it eventually dried out, and seems none the worse for the experience. But that was lake water, very clear and clean lake water.
