Fujifilm X100T review

Has anyone fitted a half case/full case to their X100T? I had been dithering between one of the Gariz half cases, the Fuji full case, a full case that I saw on Etsy, or not having any kind of case. I found a used Fuji case on B&H's site for about $30 cheaper than new, so I ordered it and will see how it is.

Just got the used Fujifilm case for my X100T, and it's fine. Looks good, fits right, the top half of the case looks and works well. Bottom half has that little door to access the battery and SD card -- all very logically laid out. The matching brown strap is a bit on the longish side, so we'll see if I end up using it.

The case has a few scuffs here and there, but nothing that a bit of shoe polish can't fix. Overall a happy camper!

Is the X100T compatible with 3rd party cases made for the X100(s)?

I really can't say one way or the other -- I know that Gariz offers some cases that are compatible with the X100T (you can find them on eBay or at SopiYoYo.com), and I was kinda hoping that JnK Handworks would come out with one, but so far nothing.

Personally, if I were to go for a 3rd party case, I'd make sure that the X100T was listed, or I'd contact the vendor to make sure.

The biggest control flaw on this camera is not the menu structure; it is the location of the playback button, which has been transposed with the view mode. The X100 and X100S had it right - and that top left position is pretty standard (see the X100, X100s, D700/800/810, Leica M8/M9, etc.).

And why can't Fuji figure out where this is supposed to go? Every one of it cameras has this crucial control in a different place. Apparently this time it decided to ape the M typ 240, which has LV right above the playback. That's fine - because on the Leica you can lock that button out. On the Fuji, you can't.

Have used my X100 for about 9 months now and it is awesome and I have added the 2 converter lenses and they are also fantastic. My only bitch is the battery indicator which is a joke and gives me zero warning!
