X-Bro1.

I initially had problem remembering the name as there were several other confusing names out there just announced then. GX1, G1X, X1, XZ1, X-Pro1. And because The previous Fuji X series were X10 and X100, I thought this was one X1 Pro.

So those who sell the camera after they discover it's not for them (happens occasionally I've noticed! :D) will be:

Ex X-pro owners!

It IS a pain, as the correct name is difficult to recall exactly, and that screws up searches.
Is it Fuji Pro-x1 ?, x1-Pro ? Fujifilm Prox-1, etc,etc.

Do you think they had this same discussion back in 1980 when Ilford came out with XP1 film... I'm guessing not.

If they were Nikon they would name it the X80 to cause consumer confusion.

I do agre that the name is a little silly.

Of course, the simplified version would then be: XX Pro 1 owner. Kinda makes one sound like an adult film star!

Fuji have been using "Pro" in their nomenclature for a long time. The full name of my comparatively old dSLR is "Fujifilm S5 Pro".

At least give them credit for having (and keeping) "film" in the company name.
