Fun: Nikon One Touch vs. Olympus Stylus

Here are the participants: Olympus Stylus 3.5 bought for $15 from an RFF acquaintance, near-mint condition, Nikon One Touch 35/2.8 bought for $2.98 from a thrift store in very good shape. Fuji 200 film, drugstore development, my scans on Epson 4490.

Flash coverage seems better with the OT,
other than that, I'd favor the OS.

Big question Paul... which felt better to you?

Well, I much like the ergos of the OS. It is smaller, lighter, slicker.
The OT is heavier, which I think counters camera shake, AND it takes AA batteries, which are sold anywhere.

Paul,
Despite being an Olympus fan (big one), I never owned the legendary OS (I like your abbreviation, Rick 🙂 ).

Instead I was able to get the waterproof version of the OT which is slightly bigger and have bigger controls (nice) as well as being the camera to use in a drizzle or even around the swimming pool.

I shot one roll only in daylight condition, so far I haven't seen anything extra-special, just what you'd expect from a decent 35mm lens.

The One Touch all the way! Much prefer the saturation levels.
