Many thanks guys - it doesn't look too bad. I had to print it a few times as I noticed very faint, thin vertical lines in the print (had to squint and look closely to detect them). I've power-cleaned the printer heads twice and it seems to have helped (I have a 3880). Warm ink setting on 13”x19” Legacy Platine.

It’s interesting looking at this print as an example - the 65mm lens has beautiful, sharp, modern qualities. Yet for some reason I think it also has a ‘vintage’ look in the out of focus areas (sorry I don’t use the ‘b’ word). I think that’s why the 65mm lens seems to be on my camera most of the time, and I believe I really could live without the 30mm and 45mm lenses.

Hmm ... Seems to be the season for this kind of stuff: I haven't been printing enough lately... I went to make some cards for a neighbor the other day and needed to run my P600 cleaning cycle a few times to clear the heads. Happily, they all cleared and the cards came out beautifully.

I agree that the 65 is a very very nice normal lens; I'm happy I sprang for one. My only issue with it is that it is quite a heavy lens.

The 45P is good as a 35mm EQFoV and also to keep the camera as small and light as possible with a native lens; it's also nicely inexpensive. The 21 is fantastic, both in full format and in square crop, to give that SWC feel. And the 90 gives that "little extra" reach when I'm working slightly beyond my usual range.

Sigh. I've been using the Makro-Planar 120mm f/4 from the V system for my copywork, but I use it enough that I really now want to consider the XCD 120 Macro as well. It simply comes out to be a smaller, lighter configuration for doing the macro work... Maybe next year.

Have you ever had that issue with the vertical lines in your prints? What are the signs your printer presents that indicate a cleaning cycle is necessary?

Been talking about this on a different thread, but I figured I'd update the 907x interested folks on this thread too.

I bought the miniscule MS Optics Aporia 24mm f/2 lens to use with my Leica CL ... A matter of compactness to make the CL handier and easier to carry when bicycling and walking. It works remarkably well for something the size, basically, of Leica body cap.

My next adventure with it is to see what it does fitted via a Leica M to Hasselblad X adapter using the Hasselblad 907x camera. The Aporia 24 is almost laughably tiny compared to the XCD21 lens! It weighs about 1/3 what the lens mount adapter weighs... :D

The Hasselblad sensor is 33x44 mm, the lens was designed for 24x36 format, so the image circle should cover the sensor adequately when cropped to square format.

Photos and shooting impressions soon... :)
