OK, this has nothing to do with photography, but everything to do with our humanity to respect our planet.

Please read the story of a a rare white Raven (one of 4 known) being illegally shot and killed. The hunt is on to find the killer and use the Raven's death to educate the public.

Please contribute if you can. Feel Free to share this story on other social media.

Best,
Stephen

Thank you Stephen for posting this as the issue is very important to me. Thanks again.

Pearl was killed about May 20, I don't know the exact date, in the general area of the old Paramount Movie Ranch in Agoura Hills California. Not at the ranch, but within a few miles of it in a bordering community.

Pearl was legally adopted by a staff member of the California Wildlife Center to protect her - only for this to happen.

The fundraiser link seems a bit odd to me. The picture looks 'photoshopped', the text of the appeal feels 'off' somehow, and there aren't any of the details of the shooting. Maybe this is real, but I'm certainly holding off for the time being to see if any fact-checking news sources pick the story up.

This is actually legit. Made the local news. The rare bird was killed with a pellet gun. See articles below.

PS - Roland beat me to it.

I know the owner of the bird. This is real.
