Fungus cleaning

Hi,

I recently came across a Nikkor El 50mm enlarger lens that was thrown in with an enlarger. It has an element inside it that has a fair bit of fungus growing on it, and I would like to clean it off. My reasoning is that it is stuffed with the fungus, so I might as well risk an attempt to clean it off. Does anyone know what the best method would be, not just for killing it but for cleaning it off entirely? Is there a good article on it somewhere?

Excellent, thanks. I put all the elements in vinegar overnight, like the link said. I picked them out this morning and the fungus was all gone 😀
