Not sure if he was using a pre-production camera or not. In US, xe1 is not due until about late October or early November time frame.

Only bad comment was leggy evf otherwise others comments are no different. Reviewer basically sounds to me to e coming from an dslr af background by some of his comments about af speed being so important to him..

One of the reasons I am a bit concerned here w/ the leggy evf comment, is that the evf is now a 2.3mp.. The data stream that needs to be pushed to the evf on a per second basis is now much higher, which puts a strain on the digital processing engine as compared to the xp1.. With the fw 2.0 update I have not noticed any appreciable lag..

That's interesting. I've tried the newer Sony SLT cameras, which I believe have the same EVF and did not have any bothersome lag (there was a little if you were really trying to see it by moving really fast). If it really is the same EVF, it is certainly capable of "non-laggy" behavior and, as you said, bottleneck must be with the camera's processor.

Sony is using a basic Bayer pattern w/ their sensor, so processing strain is not a great compared to,the unique pattern used for the Fuji..
