Hi,
I just noticed that there is a nice looking Canon L2 on eBay with a 50mm f1.8 lens. It has a pretty low buy it now price. I have read a lot of praise for the sharpness of this lens. I have heard that these camera's shutters can get wrinkled because of people touching them when the film is being loaded. This one has an immaculate shutter.

Stephen Gandy quite likes this camera:

(It is interesting to read about the gold frame lines!)
I just bought a similar camera, a Canon P, so I have been interested in seeing what is out there. This one looks like a good entry for someone into Leica Thread Mount lenses and rangefinder shooting.
cheers

Some of his auctions will take paypal, some won't. It's an active account and also currently has a Konica III up that does not have paypal & a Domke photovest that does. I'd guess it is a legit ad in that respect, however I do wonder why he doesn't do paypal for cameras but does for other things.

read his feedback, not his first photography item and not his first expensive item. Some people just don't like Paypal. I don't and only use it when necessary. Ebay gets enough with listing and final value fees. Just thinking out load.

maybe he has had problems with charge backs on cameras.

What flashover said. I don't like PayPal and any seller whose only option is PayPal assures that I won't be bidding on their auction. The man's feedback indicates that he's honest and I wouldn't have a problem buying from him.
FWIW, I routinely use money orders and having sent over 150 of them have yet to be screwed as a result. (Knock on wood!
) I am careful who I deal with and use common sense when reading the ad and the individual's feedback. It pays to be cautious.

Hi, I have to agree with doubs43. I don't like Paypal and always look for sellers that accept postal orders or maybe personal cheques. I have never been ripped off by these sellers but I always check their feedback before I bid. Rod
