Not yet released yet, it is suppose to be in version 5.5 to be released soon. Direct monochrome support from the raw image. Spp is most definitely my least favorite raw processor, I wish someone like c1, aperture or adobe would support foveon raw files.

I don't get the new mode - as Foveon sensor captures color information for three channels, what is monochrome mode Sigma is mentioning in technology tab? On-chip B&W conversion, that is? How it's better than SPP's monochrome conversion we know for years and which works with any X3F file?

Ok now I need some help here... Currently in spp, how do u do a mono conversion.. I looked at my version of spp 5.4.x and under color modes, I do not c an obvious mono mode.. What am I missing here...??
In terms of current dp Merrill cameras, mono mode is only available I jpg only, unlike Fuji or others that allow u to have jpg+raw mode in mono.. The jpg carries the mono picture and the raw is un-touch outside of the imbedded jpg that has the mono. Not sure how the older cameras worked here.. Thus if u want to stay in raw mode, I am assuming that there would be a new color mode called monochrome in spp.. But u are saying it is already part of spp???

Now I am confused as well
Now I am confused as well
I found it... Monochrome is under white balance... I would have never expected it there...
Maybe there is going to be a fw update to support a monochrome raw and the associated color mode in spp.
I have been taking the color tiff and running it thru color conversion on aperture either natively or via silver fx pro.
Since u have been using spp for this for awhile, how do u like it?

Yes, I did mean monochrome uder WB settings, using it for x530 and DP1 in SPP3.5
Since this is native method I use it instead of converting .tiff or .jpg, and slightly tweak .jpg after it's ready.
