My G1 got problem, it always shows batteries are nearing exhausting in lest LCD panel and Shutter is locked. I hav't use it for near one year, so I guess may some wire has problem. I read your message then I try to open the top, but after take off all screws I still can't open it. Included picture is my G1 now.

I need you help, you did great . What is next step I should do for removeing entire top? You mean the bracketing wsitch is come with the top?

You do not need to remove the exposure bracket dial. Instead, you must remove the black ring around the cable release port (it's in the picture you provided). Believe it or not, it unscrews. You will need sharp finger nails, or sharp pliers, but you need to unscrew the black ring around the port. Once this is removed, and assuming all the other screws are removed, the entire top should come off.

😱 there is no way i would have the courage to open up my G1. i know i would break it beyond repair or spill soda in it or something. i am amazed that you can do this.
