Picked up my G1 about 3 weeks ago & I'm totaly loving it! Have the 45 & 90, just need to save up for the 35....
Anyways,
I like the grain of Ultramax 400 (and it saves me a bit of $$ on Portra)
Thanks all!

G1 green label

My understanding is unless you have a green label G1 the 35 mm won't work until you have the body updated. The 28 mm will work
Nice shots

Enjoy Life.
The green sticker upgrade is also necessary if you want to use the 21mm, unless yours is a really really late version. I also think the 35-70mm zoom needs it to.
Enjoy your G1, the optics are so superb...they're magic in color.

I'm not a really wide shooter so I think the 35/45/90 triad should suffice me well

Those lenses and film look like a good combination, especially on the shot of the mission walls and towers.

I agree about the Ultra 400. I don't like the grain but I do like the colors. I got a roll of expired at Walgreens and shot with a 20mm lens; the colors were great:

Great shot, inspiring me to bring G1+45/2 in my bag everyday.....
This combo make my M stay in dry box for while...
Next, when the bonus come...add 28mm to my bag....:

"CJC",
I guess I'm an oddity because I actually like the grain of Ultramax 400
