the 50/1.4 SMC-Tak is one of my favourite lenses and a stellar performer. I believe it's a planar design (similar to/same as the Zeiss 50/1.4 formula)
Lovely images.

I would use mine on the G1 were it not for the radioactivity. Maybe it wouldn't mess up the sensor, but why chance it? I've got other f1.4 normals. Great shots though!

I remember an article in which a radioactive lens was tested with a Geiger counter ("violin counter" in German
) and it turned out that the radioactivity was not higher than the general radioactivity of the room, that means, lower than the photographer's body...

I wouldn't worry about that.

There is no problem with this lens and radioactivity, the only thing is the isotope as it ages can give the lens a distinct yellow cast. Apparently this can be removed by leaving the lens in bright sunlight for a few weeks. The UV does the trick

Yes both of my 50mm f1.4 Takumars (Super Takumar and Super Multi Coated Takumar) are discolored dark yellow brown. I need to give them the UV treatment someday. I've read about the thorium glass used in these lenses, and the readings are more than just background radiation. It's really off the charts for this lens, the Industar-61 I own and as I understand it, the Pancolar lens is very high also. I don't own that one. Maybe it's nothing to worry about, but who really knows?

The 50mm f1.4 Super Takumar / SMC Takumar is renowned amongst those who know it as a superbly sharp lens with even more superb bokeh. It is an absolute beauty of a lens. And it is cheap to buy (although a little less so now that its attributes are known more widely.)

Lots of people have been using the lens on their pentax digitals for years. I've yet to read of anybody encountering a problem due to the radioactive element(s).
