G1 w/35 mm focusing troubles

howdy,

i have a G1 (w/green sticker upgrade) and all of the primes except the 16mm.

i've shot both manual focus and AF on the 35mm and the result each time is a messy blur.

seems the 35mm ain't working.

any recommendations for repair shops?

i live in california near san francisco / san jose.

Stupid question, but does the front element move when you focus? I've had trouble with my 45 once, one of the contacts was a little bent and the lens didn't focus.

yeah, it moves and makes the right noises. the contacts look fine, it seems to mount just fine, it pretends to focus...

wow never heard of this...maybe you could try it on another body and see what it does. But from what you have stated it sounds like it will probably need to be repaired. I can and see if I have the number to a repair guy...
