We did a mission this morning leading the Walk for ALS at the Phillies Field.
It started raining and we were all soaked....I kept the LX3 in the waistpack and used the G10...the camera got wet...real wet....
it never failed to focus, get exposure, zoom or anything...worked puuuurrrfectly.....I made about 135 images and all are perfect.....

came home, wiped the camera off....well...it's ready to go again....
To tell the truth, I was hoping to get the images and well truthfully, was ready to give up on the camera figuring it did it's job...

much to my delight...it's fine...no issues at all.....
My M8 didn't like rain at all....my D300 went back to Nikon after a light rain....My G10...well....on hell of a camera.......

Is there any mention by Canon about the body being weather-sealed to any extent?

Glad to hear yours made it through without incident.

Any Pics, Streetshooter?

Any Pics, Streetshooter?

Been thinking about that camera, or its immediate predecessor, to add to my kit here. Can you share some shots with us?

Here's a link to my Webshots page....

This album is from today in the rain...in a few images, you can see the rain drops....

There are many albums with the LX3, G10, G9 and other goodies....

Pretty impressive handling of difficult light (and this is shooting jpg because LR doesn't handle its raw files yet).

Cheers,
