G2 - battery voltage

Hi!
My Contax G2 all of a sudden went on complete strike this morning while shooting. No pre-warning of low batteries. I still wonder...does anybody know the minimum voltage for the batteries in order for the G2 to work?

about 3 volt

mine went dead suddently, I went to a battery shop, the battery was 2,8 volt; not enought for the camera to work

It went dead because I changed only one battery on two, so the new one drained quicly in the old one, no warning from the camera to change the battery, it was so quick
