Hello All,

New problem with the 35-70 on my G2. It will not lock into place when I mount it. All the other lenses mount fine so Im guessing this is a lens problem. I have noticed little bits of green residue on the mount but i dont think this is the problem? Anybody else experience this? Is there something I can do or do I have to send it to KEH?? Thanks a lot!

Before you send it to KEH I'd give them a call and ask to speak with one of their repair techs familiar with the G2 system. It might be something simple. I have that lens and have not encountered the problem.

Did you look on the manual? mounting lens is quite delicate on G system, I had the same problem with my new 45 planar and I found the solution on the instruction manual at the voice "how mounting the lenses"
hopes help (sorry for my poor english)

Thanks for the replies. I have re-read the manual numerous times with no luck. Have tried the suggestion of calling KEH but impossible to get a live person today. Will probably have to bite the bullet and send it in to them. Anyone dealt with Metro Camera Repair in NYC? They are my other option. Thanks

I too have had this problem with all the lenses, especially the 21mm biogon. This does happen more when changing lenses quickly while shooting. I would not send it into be fixed before trying all the above ways of mounting the lens. I make sure I grab the lens by the knurled grip to lock it into place and not the bottom of the lens by the flange.

Just want to thank everyone for their suggestions and help. None of them worked and I ended up having to send the lens in to KEH. Very fast turnaround time and all is well now. There was some corrosion and one of the pins was pushed in. Thanks again.
