Due to the large number of files currently being hosted in the RFF photo gallery, I have had to impose a temporary limit of 5 picture uploads per day. This will help keep control of the disck space being utilized and make management of the server a little easier.

Thanks for the cooperation.

Thanks.
Hopefully this will also have some impact on the quality. And make the (now limited) mass posters think about their images before upload.

but MY pictures are all special (even the ones of the inside of my camera bag) and I want to share them with everyone!

And thanks to the all the a$$h%les with their mass uploads of two bob pictures, treating the gallery space as their own website to show the world how awful they are at photography and making absolutley no other contribution to RFF, for making this place slightly less than it was. 😡 😡 😡

ManGo

What's wrong with two bob pictures? I have a one bob picture in my avatar.

Also, thanks for the demo on how to properly use the little known [rant] [/rant] tag.

😉

I'm with Brian on this one. Good thing, Jorge. If it makes any sense to you, one of the reasons why I haven't uploaded any is because I didn't want to upload more until you started drawing a line. I don't want to abuse your bandwidth (--and donation soon--).

It does bother me to see people just mass-uploading huge files, and many times it's not even Rangefinder pics.

Good move. Here is something else to maybe consider: Does anyone of us actually have more than say, 100 shots that are so good that the world jsut has to see them? Would anyone have difficulty editing their work down to their best 100 shots? If your gallery already has 100 photos in it and you jsut made your best shot, edit out the weakest to replace.

The gallery could be called "My Best 100 Photos".

I like that suggestion Frank.

From time to time I edit my gallery. I take out the stuff that doesn't move me in any way. My impressions of my photos change over time. I may enjoy something one month, then find later that I have done better with with similar shots.

I'm quite new here so excuse me if I'm speaking out of turn. I feel pictures posted here should only be those taken with a RF, after all that's what this site is about isn't it? It would have to be self enforced by the photographer of course.

Frank "My Best 100 Photos" Jeesh after 30 odd years shooting I still ain't got many I would want to share 😀

Same here. That is my point.
