Gallery - is it just me?

when I go to the home page - I frequently see familiar pictures on the gallery banner.

I figures there must be thousands of images - but about 5-10 seems to show up much more often than random

Same here and I have never seen any of my own images uploaded to the Gallery.
The 4 random images are not a representation of all images in the Gallery, I would be interested in knowing why not?

I get random pictures but not my own. Maybe some dort of cookie trick?

Year's ago, when the gallery was truly random, I'd see the occasional pic that I took.

It seems that we've been stuck with several "favorites" since they changed software sometime back. I agree that seeing the same several images over and over is tiresome.

Yes, I've wondered about that too. The concern might be a little egotistical but I don't see images from any of the other frequent gallery posters either.
