Hi all... in my browser, the gallery links at the bottom of member posts is being displayed as html instead of as a link. I'm not finding the preference to change that. Can anyone give me a steer in the right direction? Thanks... Ed

Ed,
There was a thread a few days ago that explained how to edit that string and get it to work again. I found it took some trial and error, but I got mine fixed. If an old guy like me can do it, I'm sure younger, computer-sharp, RFFers can do the job.

Look for a thread that asked what happened to the signiture?

When someone adds a thread with an attachment, I now do not see it anymore and I can't remember how to add an attachment to my own thread>😕 I just tried it maybe it worked.😱

Well, thanks to Rich and Old Nick I'll probably be able to get my sig straightened out, after I fuss around a little bit. But what bothers me is that I want to click on others' posts, to get to their galleries. As it is now, I have to copy the url and then paste it into a window. That's laborious.

you need to go in and recreate the links by clicking on the link icon.

It's above where you're typing your signature. Look for the globe with a link from a chain on it.

It works pretty much like HTML, but takes a bit of trial and error to get the display and the link just right.

_______

In the line of links under the banner at the top of this page, press the "UserCP" to go to your Control Panel. In the first section at the left under Control Panel, named Settings and Options, choose the first item "Edit Signature". The resulting window displays a text box to type or paste into. Paste in the following text, then add [] brackets around it:

url="http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=575"]My Gallery[/url

Press the Save Signature button at the bottom of the text box. After this, your signature will be this:

My Gallery

Thank you kindly, Ed! It's not perfect, but it works.

Frank.... you seem to have the same thing twice in a row. One erroneous link and one good link. Maybe try erasing everything from the field before you paste the new one in.
