Here are my picks:
hteasley - "Lines"
The reflections and opposing contrasts of the pavement give a nice diagonal to the overall composition, simple yet very effective.
Tuna
A very peaceful scene with excellent tonality, it sort of forces you to stay and investigate each detail.
David67 - "London, 2009"
Love the shadow person striding among and into the slanting arrows of light.
ChEc - "L1005322"
I like the focus in the foreground on the footprints, the intensity of the snowfall and the two adventures soul receding into the distance.
Oleg Tretiak - "Untitled-8-2-2"
I think the color and pano format works very much to the favor in this shot. The starkness of the old wall and graffiti, the sand stones and surf leading the eye to the solitary figure barely visible and the flurry of activity of the gulls comes together perfectly.

i've got three that are very similar in rendering, and i like them all for the same reasons. pretty pictures, great motion and timing, well constructed images. and yes, i'm giving in to the pictorialists. gladly.

my favorite picture this week is this one, from kidpluto. it's a perfect moment, caught with a great deal of feeling. all of a sudden, i'm sitting across the table from her, waiting for... well, c'mon honey, WHAT?
i keep returning to alex krasotkin's photos. this one is kinda different from all the glow-ey low-light front-facing ones, but i like it for the tension and the moment, and also for the composition and detail.
the last one i'll show here is from stefanjozef. the composition is really wonderful, and the contrast and tone brings out all the elements in a wonderful way. the lines of the wall and the drain and the umbrella and the sidewalk, and then the dark space next to the woman and then the rounder forms of the legs and whatever that thing on the right side is.

Thanks hteasley for mentioning my photo!
snausages: a great capture in decisive moment.
semrich: wonderful picture, the background reminds me the words of Orhan Pamuk about Istanbul.
porktaco: expressions and situation nicely captured
Arjay: composition, light and figure-ground, abstract and incisive.
Ezzie: I love the contrast between two matters and tones.
paulfish4750: another wonderful image of 'less is more'.
Oleg Tretiak: urban scene with figure, all in right place.

To me there is an air of mystery to this as well as a great image.
