I would right-click the image in the gallery, choose "Copy Image Location" which puts the image URL into your clipboard, then click the image button on the post editing page and hit Ctrl-V. Or you can paste an image in by just pasting the URL into your post, and surrounding it with

To anyone who posts the vintage images I scanned recently into this thread please consider that some people may not think they belong here as they don't represent the work of a current RFF member. I'm placing them in the gallery so that they can be viewed for enjoyment as they represent a period of life and photography long gone.
