rohankent's series 'Someone lived here' The openin pic of the house looks as if the structure is blowing away. Very profound.

a perfect little photo. tremendous tonality on the face, clean separation with background, a little implied motion in the hair despite being underground. unguarded moment and he looks like he's about to do something very interesting.

dizzying perspective that's anchored by a couple of bright spots on the people and, more, their shadows. it was nice of the sun to line the shadows up for you with the square thing in the corner. the bright spots in the upper right seem to be right where all the walking paths intersect. all the shapes on the left hand side are great.

how can you not like this? faces up, eyes close to the camera, fantastic blur but good focus on the subject. at first, i thought the woman had her finger up and was expostulating, but now i see that's not exactly the case. her mckayla maroney expression and firm grip on the rail really work for me. the guy has those crazy eyes, and i particularly like the fabric lines at his knee, which echo the other lines of motion.

i liked this whole set, and this one most of all. perfect side view. hairline highlights rising, eyes horizontal, chest-to-cheek-to-eye-to-forehead arc, clean background.

my xa doesn't do this. i liked this whole set too, and could have chosen any of them really. i liked this best for the reflections and the rhythm of clouds and cliffs, the shapes in the tidepool and the rain coming in at the left.

i'm a sucker for pictures like this. great isolation on the one side of her face. the curtains are a strong contrast to the black she's wearing, both in color and in texture. clean composition, and the bright business in front of the glass is a good anchor for me.

photo of the week. knowingly provocative and lurid subject, but a very pretty photograph. the planes of her skin and the stockings, the lighting in the upper left corner, the blackness of her panty. it's easy not to look at the gun, which makes the photo very strong in my eyes.
