Hope the usual contributors to this thread are OK. It is easy to take up if you want to make your selection. Call up the last fortnight's Gallery pictures and work back to the previous Monday and scroll through. See one you like and click on the url, copy, paste in to an rtf text doc, adding the name of the photographer. When finished paste your selection into the Post Quick Reply pane.
Making the selection ensures you see the great photos of the previous week. Except when you see others' selections you'll discover that you miss some real gems. Humbling editing experience. Picking the photos with 10 comments is easy. Occasionally, as this week, there are great photos in the Gallery Picks that gained no comment through the week. Editing is most photographer's short suit.
+1, I fully agree. This is in my opinion is the most instructive thread on RFF, or at least one of the most instructive!
Here aare my pics for the week which was full of good and inspiring photo.
I start with a photo by Mccurleyphoto, love the strong impact given by the human shape wll placed in a window of light.
Abeautiful palette of colours in the photo of this abandoned house by Bike Tourist.
Rangefinder 35 managed very well to give us a quiet but absolutely no boring photo with stunning colours, Lake Kachess. Washington Cascades
Excellent use of low light in this night photo by Nzeeman. Interesting framing with the two red lines bringing us to the gate. The series is interesting.
Soft light and delicate palette of colours make in this photo by Santino, excellent work.
Steve Kessel managed very well the ambient light in this environmental portrait, with a painterly look: bravo!
Being my self a lover of lakes and of the beautiful light you can experience there I enjoyed very much this photo by Greg Maslak:
Strong colours here, well seen and well done Rangefinder 35 !
No need to travel far away to make a good photo, like this one by Nzeeman: simple and well done.
I was familiar with the B&W work by Shab and I'm pleasantly surprised by his colours photos, like this one:
A scary photo by Cerber0s ...
Usually I do not like the fake Polaroids. But in this case it works so well that I like it, as a real good homage to the SX70 the author had around when a kid. Well done, bravo Guy Pinhas ! Love the light, gthe colours and the geometry here, all work well together. Now waiting for more fake Polaroids
🙂
Ko.fe gives us a little surprise with this photo: love it!
