Thank you again for an opportunity to pick my favourite shots from last week.
Tuna
I love the colour contrast on this one, especially where one side is pitch black in the shadow and the right side is vibrant blue. The leave on the shadow side seems to be lighted, but the sky side a little muffled. Beautiful
le vrai dru
I have a a soft spot for sneaky smile with a half cigarette in the mouth. Great closeup portrait.
Tuna
Leggy girl watching balding old man, perfect.
Steven Veit
This shot has more questions than answers, which makes a great picture.
OurManInTangier
All old ladies should be lighted like this....love it.
edho
By far, one of the best photos I've the luxury to view.

The best camera is one that still works!
israel alanis ... beautiful soft colours.
Tony Pio ... a gear shot but none the less a beautiful art deco camera photographed perfectly.
petronius ... another masterpiece by the master of seeing what most of us would miss!

I think that the gallery preview photo size is way too small. I had missed Israel's and petronius's photos just put up by Keith (while going through the gallery myself) due to the images not really working at the minuscule preview size.
Now, moaning aside... here are the ones I really liked!

Another week of terrific photographs, and great difficulties to narrow down my choices to a target of eight:
Good Morning by edho - I love the light in this picture, and the mood it conveys:
The Night has a Thousand Eyes - 08 by Luiman - this shot is represenataive of a very exciting series. All of them deserve closer scrutiny!
-=securyti=- by Sereghasu - I love this image's composition that is based on a checker pattern - very unusual and compelling.
Italian Girl by Tuna - The border between bright and dark guides the viewer's gaze as he follows where the gilrl might look. Great composition!
_____ by OurManInTangier - Great composition and light, and a wonderful impromptu capture.
Rollei_35_136_04 by Petronius - Great composition! I'm impressed of how you manage to find beauty in mundane detail.
manif - by le vrai rdu - this shot is my favorite of your series. All of them are strong, but this one is also telling a story...

Manif by le vrai rdu 2 pics
Very good shots of French demo working class characters.
The first one is timeless but for the sticker which relates to an incident when French Pt Sarkozy set a bad example using abusive language towards a chap who just said he wouldn't shake hands with him during a factory visit a couple of years ago. It has become a catch phrase since then.
I guess the guys pictured here, would have sent Sarko packing !

Thanks to all who mentioned and commented my photos!
FrankHarries:
CarlosM, a good idea to include a piece of man in the picture!
paulfish4570: many meanings, well composed, beautiful light!
israel_alanis with a quite surreal composition:
Keith; a group shot as it should be!
Mcary - simply beautiful!

As usual lot of great photos, here's what I liked this week:
KEH, ethereal for its unique mist, well seen.
obwong, truly a compositional moment if ever there was one.
photodave, very suggestive with color to match.
Walter Leporati, I've seen lots of shots of this store, this to me is the best yet.
Carlos M, A masterful shot of shapes, textures and color.
OurManInTangier, This has "Moment" written all over it. I like the low kid height perspective and her isolation by the out of focus background.
yukio, I just like this.
toshifumi, the number of cyclists in a line and the hooded person with the dog is a sight that may never be repeated again.
