Much joy is depicted well in this photo with the swinging of the bag and his smile and stance.

Thank you SciAggie, Paulfish4570 and tbarker13 for mentioning my pictures! I'm very grateful to still be noticed in spite of my rare appearances on this forum recently...

yeah. absolutely wonderful. delicious colors. smeary pastel feel. the sharp parts - well, the relatively sharp parts - on the shoulder and the shoulder strap and the fabric in the background make the photo really work, so that it's not just a pretty smeary image, but that it has something to hold onto.

i'm finding out i'm a pictorialist at heart - at least this year - and there's no set formula for what works for me. this does.

also, i kind of have this idea that i really like photos about, with, or that have some relationship to people.

building pictures, landscapes, dog/cat photos etc seem... well, easy isn't exactly the right term, but it's close. moments and relationships and light. right. that's it. see, i'm interested in well-lit photos about people. really. for sure.

then lynn comes along and does this. *cue up cartman cursing*. it's lovely. in fact, all his wave photos are really great, but this is the best one yet i think. i would hang this in my house without a second thought.
