The best camera is one that still works!
Tuna ... I like this for a lot of reasons. Very balanced composition IMO and although I've never seen or been to Central Park this really conveys to me why I should some day.
gho ... quirky composition and I might have been tempted to bring the backgorund back to verticals to accentuate the angle of the main foreground subject.
Or not!

luiman ... very balanced and interesting triptych.
Tuna ... a sense of humour in photography can do a lot with an image that can seem banal. Imagination often goes (and needs to go) beyond the press of the shutter.

Hey, thanks Keith! As for the composition, I have been thinking about straightening things up also, but in this case I like the tilt.
Generally I do not like too much digital post processing like strightening, because in the end, it is looking odd.
I find it a bit difficult to get straight lines handheld with a wide angle lens, but for now I am trying to embrace the tilt and being more careful with keeping the camera straight if the subject calls for it.
The more formal road with wide angle lens would lead to a large format camera on a tripod in my opinion.

this week... don't you guys ever give me a week off? the gallery continues to be awesome. there were a lot that were wonderful for me. i'm having a very hard time picking the best of the best...
top of the list, however, is the entire series of walter leopardi bocce photos.
they're all great, so it's hard to pick just one.
also....
cuciureanu
for so many reasons, i like this one. the light. the balance. the perfect focus. the expression. it's superb.
petronius had four or five i could have put in this week. this one stood out perhaps most of all
sereghasu - there's something about the light and about the massiveness of the shirtless man. tremendous.
and this one, which made me think of the movie stranger than paradise
snausages
this might be my favorite of the whole week.
and tuna, for the simple perfection in all his photos. plus, i lol'd.

Thanks, Petronius and Carlos.
My winner this week is clearly the "Indoor Bocci" series by Walter Leporati. Great stuff.
