Gallery Picks for the week ending 29th Dec 2014

Thank you guys for choosing my photograph this week. It is an honor. I can't express how much joy it's been for the past year, learning from my mentors, learning to self-critique and hopefully, learning to see. The best of the New Year.

Thanks for the update.

Looks like a really nice place, you must have had fun those 2 days. Please share more photos from that trip.

Thank you for mentioning Darshan and icebear!

Darshan, the spots on the picture are snow falling down, it started to snow alot just after this shot.
I shot two rolls of trix with my F2 and 24mm during two days of fishing, will post some here when I get back to my flat and develop the films.

Everyone thanks for choosing so many of my photos. I am bit blown away by it. Thanks.

My photo of the week is:

Paulcooper - the lovely Velvia color, composition. I like the way the water looks.
Were you standing in the water to get this shot?

Thank you. yes, I and my trpod were standing in the water. It wasn't very deep, mind you, just mid-calf at deepest.

Thank you leica M2 fan and Mlehrman for nominating one of my pics.

Some that I liked:

Maiku - This misty landscape is sublime. My favourite landscape.

From Bushwiche123 - A sense of dark melancholy in this image.

Also a notable mention for;
Lynnb - Because we rarely see diptych images in the gallery.
And because you confirmed what I've always suspected;
Cats really are plotting to kill us in our sleep.

Maiku ... this is one of two bridge shots I liked this week. This is made by the bench IMO ... and also interesting that it was empty. I like spaces where people may be but aren't.

Charlesholland ... nothing much to say about this except it's a beautiful photo! :)

My last choice is this by 16mm. It's a great process but it still has to be used with imagination and artistic flare ... fabulous! :)
