Gallery Picks is an opportunity for you to post a heads up to what you have seen during the past seven days at RFF that you like.
There's no membership requirement, no criteria (except past seven days), no voting, no limit to the number of photos mentioned, and everybody mentioned is a winner.
Anybody can start the thread on a Monday.
Anybody can join in, it's a community event!
Here are my picks:
Tuna, with a more often than not, quirky shot. I especially like that aspect with this, the duck goes well with the minimalist geometry of the background.
jockel, Cool shot, I really like this. Composition and tones all working well together.

Here's more:
Bobfrance, like the juxtaposition of faces behind him with all the different expressions.
petronius, An excellent display of compositional skills.
filmfan, A creative use of a patch of sun in a unique setting, a clash of contrasts.
Matus, quoting my comment from his description of the shot: "Don't you just love it when a SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) works out this well. Bravo for the effort and photo."
snausages, a worthy depiction of the dichotomy between the depths of winter and a reminder of spring.
And finally 3 from a series of three photos from Walter Leporati as my top favorites for the week that may even make me change my mind about vertical shots. In these shots I can almost hear the banter, smell the cigars, and feel the competition.

caseyjames with a great color combination (check his complete gallery!):
snausages; a perfect winter picture: reality and dream:

For me ..I loved the series by Walter Leporati.
Bobs take on the fairground ride in Manchester.
I`ve stood there many a time and not seen it like that.
Snausages for the contrast and the longing it evokes in me for spring
Jockel....I`ve never smoked but I might start
