To copy a photo from the gallery:

First open the photo in the gallery, then slide your mouse across it with the left mouse button held down, the photo should turn green. Then press "Ctrl" and "c", this will copy it, there is no window, no confirmation.
Then, in the thread reply you can right click in the reply box to open the little window, then press "paste".

Doesn't work for me. I've tried two different browsers and verified that the image is on the clipboard (I can paste it to Word) but I cannot paste it in the message body.

For some reason I've never been able to get Richard's method to work with either browser I use ... explorer or firefox!

I drag the opened gallery images into a temporary file on my desktop then upload them into a dedicated gallery on photobucket. I then paste the copied photobucket URL link to the image via the 'insert image' facility provided at the top of the message window ... it has an orange symbol in the middle of it and is second from the right.

Thank you for the tip, Richard, but for some reason I can't "copy" an image from the Gallery. I can make it work by copying an image from this thread, but not an image straight from the gallery.

Anyway, using the workaround of downloading the image to my desktop and then uploading it to the internet and copying the link, wanted to mention "Church Presentation" by Jose A Martinez...

There's an easier way. Open the image you want in the gallery and drag (click and hold the mouse button while moving the mouse) until the mouse pointer is in the address bar of your browser. This will load the image by itself in the browser and you can copy and paste the image URL from the address bar.

Works for me on a Mac in Firefox and Safari.
