I haven't had much time to browse the gallery recently, but just from seeing this thread, I have to agree with the others regarding this photo, it is like a modern interpretation of Jan VerMeer's paintings, particularly his masterpiece commonly known as "The Milkmaid". Was this taken at an Amish community?:

Well I'm back now and I have picks for the week:
dan1005, a poignantly reflective scene, impressively composed and captured.
Keith, Really good, make me think of the book title 1984. It evokes strong feelings. One amongst his best.
Frank Version Two, Makes me want to go there, though I wonder how cold the water is and might change my mind.
enlo, It's a raised level of awareness that extracts the unusual from the mundane as the beauty seen in the image.
pismo923, Monet all over again!
Richard Lee, to my eye the composition is excellent, and the light coming through the mountain pass onto the bend in the road is perfect. A beautiful photo.

This picture really stands out for the colours and subject. Like being in Vermeer's workshop. It even took me some time to notice the tourists in the background...Bringing us back to X100 days.

I like the rendition of the metal structures.

Steveh
Wonderful soft light and colors much like a paintong.
Richard Lee
Another shot with great light quality nicely composed. Classic landscape shot.
tigerphil
Another simple composition with wonderful tonality from Phil. The shadow overlay unifies the composition.
luiman
Excellent composition with great lines and depth from Luigi. Great perspective with the darker tones up front leading to gray and to white in the background adding to the feeling of depth.
SciAggie
The tones and shape of the light chairs come out of the dark background. The flag pillow is a great timely addition.
brainwood
I like the way the tunnel frames the canal and the boats. Very nice light and tonality.

Wow - this is a nice surprise to come home to! Thanks to everyone for mentioning my shot, I'm humbled. Greyscale, this was taken at a place in Suffolk, England, called Kentwell Hall. It was a Tudor reconstruction weekend where you can go and see people doing all kinds of things they would really have done in a Tudor manor house, and talking in "authentic" c16 English. I think this shot shows what an amazing lens the X100 has on it - I think this was shot at f2.8.
