At last ... I have a lot of images I really liked this week and have been looking forward to the start of this thread.

My first is one of yours Martini and I have to say I think it's my absolute favourite that I've seen from you yet. It's highly unusual in that the composition appears to be a little out of left field but I absolutely love the way the cactuses are reaching towards the open space in the clouds above. It really caught my eye as soon as I spotted the thumbnal ... all your desert landscapes are beautiful but for me this one has that little bit extra! :)

This next set of images are from sib79 and these also caught my eye instantly. I love the sense of abandonment that they all seem to exude. The dark flat tones of the beach images really accentuate that feeling for me. The shot of the man leaning on the cane has a slightly surreal flavour to it that I find fascinating.
