This thread just keeps getting better and better. Here are my picks for the week:
slantface, my top pick for the week, beyond words for me.
paulfish4570, I like the composition and how amazing he got so close the a 50mm lens.
huntjump, great light and composition all the dark accentuates the light.
petronius, this has timing and composition going for it.
zauhar, Reminds me of the "Loneliness of the long distance runner",
only encapsulated into that corner treadmill. The gym owners dream, everybody gets a yearly membership and nobody comes.
aldenfender, and finally a color one. I like how the subject is segueing from the light into the dark, and the leaves on the pavement, perfect composition to my eye.

i couldn't get within 50 yards of a truly wild heron. these that hang with the pelicans and gulls at a seafood wholesaler are kind of spoiled, i think ...
