raytoei - superb lighting, tremendous subject. motion and balance. win.

maenju - this is my favorite this week. it's really intimate, and the more you look the more there is. like the traditional broom and tattoos and necklace put against the modern tank top. i really, really like her eyes.

filmfan - the geometry in this really works for me. her profile, the hills and the lovely tree bokeh.

mudride - i couldn't figure anything out about the subject. young? old? lost? found? very compelling.

frank - brutally honest but no more than that. really nice composition with the bike, the shadows, the background and the light on his feet.

black - superbly evocative.

shac - what a great moment. open, honest, in-bringing.

I have a few picks:

borrel, This is so like Elliott Erwitt yet different in a film noir sense and up close. My favorite for the week.

Swann, never disappoints, perfectly seen and timed.

Carterofmars, I simply like this, maybe it's the peeling paint along with the mid tones.

l.mar, a strong and timely metaphor as the title suggests. Fantastic shot from a little XA. I like this a lot.
