I took the photo at Angel Place, a short back street at Sydney CBD. It features this art installation called Forgotten Songs with empty bird cages hanging in the sky accompanied by the sounds of Sydney's lost birds.

Thank you so much for the explanation which is a beautiful tribute to the birds. I knew they were bird cages but didn't know much else, now it makes wonderful sense ans such a nice tribute.
