Gallery picks for the week ending February 21, 2011

Ok guys, please tell me: a monday uploaded picture to wich "Gallery picks" thread belongs?

Well, the rule says "past seven days" which would be Monday (Feb. 14) through Sunday (Feb. 20). Makes sense to me. Pictures that are being uploaded while the weekly picks thread is already running shouldn't be eligible.

Thanks Steve and Paul.

This thread is definitely a weekly highlight. I learn a lot going over what I pick, and then again when I review others' picks.

Appreciate the picks luiman and paulfish4570.
I am always amazed at the quality of work in the Monday gallery; it’s an honor to be amongst them this week.

jeepers!!!

thank you, thank you, thank you semrich, robklurfield, stravinsky (it's a ceiling fan with a light fixture), steve kessel (i can't figure out how to post larger images either - stil - after getting help), paulfish4570 (as in 45-70 caliber?), and brad bireley for picking some of my images to be included with so many excellent images. thank you for your kind and generous comments.

i am inspired by so much of what i've seen in this thread. there are so many fine images here i wish i had made. i'm a little amazed to be included in such great company.

there were so many interesting, beautiful, graphic, humorous, puzzling, happy, abstract, journalisitic, inspiring, insightful, curious, and delightful images posted throughout the week in the gallery itself.

i am constantly inspired and motivated and encouraged by the folks that post here.

breathe, relax and enjoy.

thank you, freeranger.
and yes, Kenneth, fish4570 as in the grand old round .45-70, adopted by the US army in 1873 and still going strong. i had an NEF single-shot in that chambering that i sold to my youngest son. very, very accurate ...

Yes, the texture and the composition are excellent. A "rope traingle". It is a Math image.
Well done, Paul.
