Still getting used to the new gallery, and have been through loads of photos to come up with some picks for this week. Here we go.
Lawrence A., a color photo that make me look twice with texture and shadows like a B&W photo. The yellow swing seat just pulls your eye into the photo.
Kennylovrin, good geometry and composition. It leaves me with a feeling of gratitude of not being out driving in that snow.
luuca, excellent. I like how all the lines seem to lead to the coat collar and the curved empty space above it emphasizing the absence of a head.
Willytr, I like the composition of the people along the barrier as it leads the eye to the up close intense expression of the guy at its end. A good example of the pano format.
lynnb, an anthropomorphically tender moment done really well in B&W.
Koolzakukumba, great B&W tones, timing and composition. Looks great.
Siracusa, love the composition of looking up from the stairs into the room to catch the act of blowing the candles out.
Michel.roth, the composition with all its lines, the stairs, the flare of light at the edge of the window, and the sharp detail of the bike with training wheels leaves a mystery of undefined emotions.
Taskoni, lots to hold the attention from the tire tracks to the melted spots under the car and the tilted umbrella to feel the wind and cold.
Againelo likes to take snow photos the way I do, out the window. Just goes to show how abstract and creative looking out the window, staying warm and dry, can be.
icebear, a different take on the "subway shot". I like how the timing of the train and its mass and motion blur drives the eye to the lone person tightly framed by the train, overhead lights and the columns.
