Well, I'm back, sorry that I missed participating in the thread for the last 2 weeks. I was away, back now and am catching up on things. I've got a bunch of picks, as usual it was a good week.
I'll start with color for a change as I liked a good number of color shots.
2 from Kiev Ilegalac, the first I especially like the subdued color that captures the subtle color and light of a frozen landscape.
And this one for the same reasons with the addition of the red slice that, for me, enhances the coldness of the frozen morning.
michaelbialecki, the light is simply incredible in this, and the man looking into the lens just adds to that feeling of waiting.
Mlehrman, and now for a little something different, color from Miehrman !!! And a little bolder color palette that works well with people and the posters, truly a moment and they almost look like the people of the posters.
lynnb, The sharpness of the one still fish enhances the action of all the others, to my eye an important element that makes the whole image just work. Well done.
And now for the B&W.
Bingley, boldly shooting into the sun worked well with this along with the composition including the people.
luiman, this had a lot of comments, all well deserved, and intriguing scene.
paulfish4570, the high key tones and dead conifer add a starkness to this scene, feels cold just looking at it.
agianelo, great work, I would expect to see a shot like this in a gallery or museum somewhere.
larmarv916, I'm savoring the moment with a lot to look at here, the pigeon coming in for a landing near the woman who looks distressed with you taking a picture, as well as the guy hiding his face for apparently the same reason, and the seemingly smug attitude of the woman with her cigarette.
Walter Leporati, catches Santa taking a break.
icebear, a well seen and composed shot taking advantage of that shape of light from the window. Also nice tones.
jcrutcher, just a nice night shot with the people in the middle of rectangles, the water and the splotches of light throughout.
Jonathan_100, I had to look maybe 3 times at this and still wonder where the end of the other horn is sticking and how relaxed you could be in that situation. A good catch.
chambrenoire, I like this, a cool looking guy and a "what me worry look" with good post processing.
