Gallery Picks is an opportunity for you to post a heads up to what you have seen during the past seven days at RFF that you like.
There's no membership requirement, no criteria (except past seven days), no voting, no limit to the number of photos mentioned, and everybody mentioned is a winner.
Anybody can start the thread on a Monday.
If someone pick's your photo, do the thread a favor and find one from the last 7 days you like too. Spread the wealth!

I had this technique down once. I've been away too long. How do you get an image in the message? I use link or URL and there is no image, just text. Thanks.

Dick, I go to the Gallery and locate the picture I want and Highlight it. Click Command C
on the Mac. Go to Rangefinder.com and go to Critique (today's date) and click new thread and here paste your picture with Command V.
Hope that helps, it's much easier than it appears.

Many thanks David and Antti for the mentions!
Some of my favourite pictures this week:
Angle Iron © 2014 Rezinator
there were a few dramatic pictures of the flatiron this week. I liked Rezinator's dramatic lighting and dynamic framing.
New York © 2014 Jamie Pillers
…and here's Jamie's shot of the same building. Colour used sparingly and well; to my eye it's just as dramatic as Rezinator's.
South 2nd Street © 2014 Mlehrman
I liked Mike's well composed bw and very nice use of selective focus
chattels © 2014 Keith
I like the way Keith plays with light (and I can say the same for Tigerphil).
Good Hit Lollipop © 2014 Photogdave
Timing and focus spot on with the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1 Nocton. Delightful moment!
Untitled - Photo 230068 © 2014 Siracusa
the expressions on their faces got my attention in David's well-timed catch
Flower Gesture © 2014 Tstermitz
this kid is a born salesman
Untitled - Photo 230051 © 2014 Mlehrman
great colour…
Sarajevo, Bosnia © 2014 Harlee
"Taken from a former sniper's position which gives him a great view of part of the city of Sarajevo."
that chilling thought completely changes the interpretation of the photograph…
red, gold & green © 2014 Robin P
I liked the very effective use of colour
Ryn, Poland © 2014 Johnmcd
lovely bw composition, the 7II was perfect for this shot
Stairs © 2014 Coelacanth
great shadows, texture and graphic bw..
Untitled - Photo 229927 © 2014 Kiev Ilegalac
fantastic colour Alex. I really like the composition too.
Notes from the road #58 © 2014 Luiman
Each week brings more interesting shots in this series. I liked this as a dramatic statement of man vs nature.
Promontory, Utah USA © 2014 Fotorees
nothing gone to waste in this composition. Very nice photograph and the clouds hint at the history of steam

I tried that, Tony. On the PC its Ctl C and Ctl V but it doesn't work. I'll keep experimenting. Thanks.

Thanks, Lynn, for the mention, which I appreciate.
Dick, the simplest method is to look at the image and click onto EXIF. A panel showing exif data will appear, and if you look down the panel you will see "click for photo url". That will give you the url (address) for that image, surrounded by image tags. Select that address, copy it (ctrl c on a PC I think), and then paste it (ctrl v on a PC I think) into your post and you should be fine. The other way to do it is by clicking the "insert image" button in the post editor, which will open a dialogue into which you can paste the address of an image. This method will then add the image tags.
