the elderly swan. usually, i try not to like photos from the rear (as it's something i try to get away from in my own photos), but her hunched back makes the photo all the more poignant.

i liked both of the dance parade photos a lot. this one seemed better built, with layers of light and tone, and lovely framing (fwiw, the blurry in the other one really works for me too). looking at walter's photos always makes me want to get a little bit closer to my subjects when i shoot.

my favorite this week. not sure how posed, not sure whether what i like is the model or the photographer or both, but it all works. the positions of arms and legs, the tones, the lock of hair, the calm background. she's a very accessible subject. direct, present. nice.
